Tanzania Wildlife Safari

This safari caters for those times. Perhaps it’s an anniversary or a honeymoon, perhaps you just know you or a loved one deserve a truly memorable safari.

Your first two lodges, in Arusha and near the Ngorongoro Crater, set the scene with attentive service, top quality furnishings, pretty gardens and a swimming pool; you feel pampered. From here you move to a classic safari camp in central Serengeti, with tented suites looking out across the plains, a welcoming mess tent with cushion-strewn couches, wooden cabinets and chandeliers. Your next destination is more remote still, a mobile camp sited for the migration, yet even here you have the benefit of a spacious en-suite tent, enjoy meals eaten as a group with your friendly hosts. This safari is at once exciting and relaxed, and definitely has the personal touch.

Experience the spirit of Luxury Tanzania Safari, waking early to watch the sunrise as another day dawns, ready for adventure! You climb aboard the 4×4 for a morning of wildlife watching, never sure what you may see but certain that every encounter will be unique. Shelter in camp during the heat of the day, once again heading out in the afternoon for a drive that includes sun downer drinks. After dinner by candlelight retire to your tent to fall asleep to the sounds of the bush. It’s immersive and addictive.

The beautiful Serengeti National Park is renowned for the famous annual wildebeest migration, with over one and a half million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras. The national park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and covers around 5,700 square miles of grassland plains, savannah as well as forest and woodlands. The park contains a variety of wild-life, including the “Big Five.” There are also many cheetahs to be seen, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, hyena, impala and even the elusive African wild dog.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located 180 km west of Arusha in the crater highlands area of Tanzania. The main feature of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera.

The crater, which formed when a large volcano ex-plodded and collapsed on itself two to three million years ago, is 610 metres deep and its floor covers 260 square kilometres. A large diversity of animals resides in the crater, including an extraordinary population of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the elusive leopard; as well as hippo, wildebeest, warthog, zebra, eland, buffalo, gazelles and water buck.

The experience is a 5 star luxury treat for the discerning traveler. This journey showcases the breathtaking wildlife & landscapes of Tanzania, a country packed with natural and cultural attractions which are all covered in one unbelievable holiday.
